Take It Or Leave It - Yasmien Kurdi

If you wanna love me,
Don’t wanna see you with other girls
If you wanna make it
You simply have to play by the rules

Come now take it or leave it
There’s no other way to my heart
There are things that we need to follow
Or else we’ll break it from the start

If you wanna have me,
Send me flower each passing day
You gotta be romantic
You gotta have my feet swept away

If i'm asking too much
It's because I'd be giving my heart
If you wanna have me
You gotta be tender each passing day

If you think we'll make it
You cross right now and don't hesitate

God's Wings

An article in National Geographic several years ago provided a penetrating
picture of God's wings. After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park,
forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's
damage.One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statues
quelyon the ground at the base of a tree. Somewhat unnerved by the eerie sight,he knocked over the bird with a stick. When he gently struck it, three tiny
chicks scurried from under their dead mother's wings.

The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her
offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings,instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but refused to abandon her babies. When the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, the mother had remained steadfast.Because she had been willing to die, those under the cover of her wing would live.

"He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge." (Psalm 91:4)

Being loved this much should make a difference in your life. Remember the
One who loves you and then be different because of it.

Love Looks Beyond - Ruth Bell Graham

You look at me and see my flaws;
I look at you and see flaws, too.
Those who love know love deserves
a second glance; each failure serves
another chance. Love looks to see,
beyond the scars and flaws, the cause;
and scars become an honorable badge
of battles fought and won—or lost—but fought!
The product, not the cost,
is what love sought.

God help us see beyond the now
to the before, and note with tenderness
what lies between—and love the more!

A Poem by Ruth Bell Graham

Dear God, I prayed, all unafraid
(as we're inclined to do),
I do not need a handsome man
but let him be like You;

I do not need one big and strong
nor yet so very tall,
nor need he be some genius,
or wealthy, Lord at all;

But let his head be high, dear God,
and let his eye be clear,
his shoulder straight,
whate'er his state,
whate'er his earthly sphere;

And let his face have character
and ruggedness of soul,
And let his whole life show, dear God,
a singleness of goal;

Then when he comes
(as he will come)
With quiet eyes aglow,
I'll understand that he's the man
I prayed long ago...

When a banner is raised on the mountain,

You will see it

And when a trumphet sounds,

You will hear it.
